Our Best-Selling Fish of the Week! (September 2026 #2)

 

Let’s take a look at which fish and aquatic favourites have been flying off the shelves (or should we say, swimming out of their aquariums!) this week. There have been some interesting changes in our rankings, with a few familiar favourites making their way up the list.

From colourful livebearers to tiny freshwater favourites, there’s been plenty of variety among this week’s best-sellers. So, without further ado, let’s dive in and reveal our Top 5 Best-Selling Fish of the Week! 

 

5th Place - Molly

Coming in at number five this week are the ever-popular Mollies, with our Gold Dust Mollies proving particularly popular.

With their striking golden colouring, Gold Dust Mollies are a fantastic way to add a splash of colour to a community aquarium. Mollies are also active, lively fish that can make a great addition to a suitable freshwater setup.

 

4th Place - Orange ‘Sunkist’ Shrimp

Taking fourth place this week are our vibrant Orange ‘Sunkist’ Shrimp!

With planted aquariums becoming increasingly popular, it’s no surprise that these colourful little shrimp are proving to be a firm favourite with aquarists. Not only do they add a beautiful splash of colour, but they also bring plenty of activity and interest to a planted tank.

Their bright orange colouring really stands out against lush green plants, rocks and darker substrates, making them a fantastic addition to a carefully aquascaped aquarium.

They may be small, but they certainly make a big impact!

 

3rd Place - Balloon Mollies

Moving up the rankings this week are our Balloon Mollies, taking an impressive third place.

With their distinctive rounded body shape and variety of available colours, Balloon Mollies are a firm favourite with many fish-keepers. Their peaceful nature also makes them well suited to many community aquarium setups, provided their tankmates and water conditions are appropriate.

Could they climb even higher next week?

 

2nd Place -Neon Tetra

The Neon Tetra remains a firm favourite, coming in at second place this week.

With their unmistakable blue and red colouring, Neon Tetras are a popular choice for aquarists looking to add a splash of colour and movement to their aquarium. Their schooling nature means they look particularly impressive when kept in a group, as they swim together around the tank.

With their classic looks and enduring popularity, it’s no surprise to see Neon Tetras once again near the top of our best-sellers. But this week, they’ve been knocked off the number one spot!

So, which fish has taken their place at the top?

 

1st Place - Platy

This week’s best-selling fish is the Platy!

Our main shipment last week included a fantastic variety of Platies, including Sunset, Red Wag, Red Mickey Mouse and Yellow Wag Hi-Fin varieties.

With such a wonderful assortment to choose from, perhaps it’s no surprise that the Platy has proved so popular this week!

Platies are colourful, active and generally peaceful fish, making them a popular choice for many community aquariums. With so many different colours and patterns available, there’s also plenty of variety to choose from.
