Soragoi Koi Carp For Sale
Soragoi are Grey/Silver, solid coloured Koi Carp, with strong scale reticulation (known as fukurin) giving them a net-like pattern. Soragoi on occasion may exhibit incredibly striking, glittering scales. This phenomenon is known as Ginrin. A Soragoi displaying such scales would therefore be known as Ginrin Soragoi.
Soragoi do not exhibit vibrant rainbow colours like many other Koi Carp varieties. Instead, Soragoi are revered for their simplistic beauty, friendliness and size. Soragoi resemble a shiny bar of Silver in a Koi pond and can often grow to lengths of 30” and more.
Soragoi are closely related to Chagoi and as a result, are extremely close in genetic terms to the wild Amur carp from which Koi carp were bred. This gives Soragoi an almost wild appetite, making them incredibly easy to tame and hand feed. Having a fish with such a voracious appetite allows them to grow very large but can also give other Koi in a pond confidence when it comes to feeding. One of the most rewarding experiences in Koi keeping is having your prized fish, greet you daily eagerly awaiting a hand full of Koi food. In many instances the answer to achieving this is by introducing a Soragoi.
If you’re looking to add some elegance and character to your Koi pond, look no further than Soragoi!
