The Fluval Edge aquarium series by Hagen are contemporary plug and play aquariums suitable for both beginners and enthusiasts. With newly integrated 6500 K LED lighting and several redesigned convenience features including a quick-access feeding door and touch-switch day/night illumination, the latest generation of Edge aquariums may look familiar, but they certainly don’t act that way.
Thanks to the completely unique cantilever design, you will be treated to a 6-sided, 360° viewing experience only the Fluval Edge can deliver - Observe your aquarium inhabitants as you have never seen them before.
The newly designed 6500K lighting simulated natural sunlight to promote plant growth and vibrant fish colours. Each individual LED light casts 120 degrees of illumination for wider coverage and no dark spots.
The lighting is operated via a single touch-sensitive button on the hood of the aquarium. Should you touch the lighting button a second time, the LED lighting will switch to a moody blue setting, which looks great and provides ambience to a room.
The filtration system consists of 3-stage filtration for superior water quality and quick maintenance. Included with the aquarium is a foam filter (mechanical filtration), carbon insert (chemical filtration) and a biomax insert (biological filtration). Water movement within the aquarium can be customised with the flick of a switch, in order to replicate the environment your fish/plants originate from.
Filtration can often be cumbersome and unsightly in an aquarium, however, with the Fluval Edge, it is neatly hidden within the rear and hood of the aquarium providing a minimalist look. Overall this is a well thought out aquarium product, which performs well and looks fantastic in any room of the house.
The Fluval Edge is box ready for a cold water set-up. In order to convert the aquarium into a tropical system, simply insert a suitably sized heater within the aquarium, hiding the cables within the rear, and get the water up to a temperature of 24°C - 27°C.
