To save you the hassle of endless searching, we've compiled a selection of equipment that we’ve found works best with this aquarium model. A return pump, heater, and lighting unit are all essential components, and the following are our top recommendations.
While the sump can accommodate additional equipment, these items form the basic essentials for getting started.
Return Pump - Reef-Pump 2000
A compact, high-quality DC pump designed for both salt and freshwater tanks. It operates at a safe low voltage of 24v, delivering strong water flow with energy efficiency. The pump runs quietly and offers variable speeds with up to 20 settings for precise control. It features an integrated feed timer that pauses the pump for feeding and a “Soft Start” function to extend the impeller’s lifespan.
Betta 300w Heater (x2)
Betta Compact Submersible Aquarium heaters provide a reliable heat output to keep the water temperature constant and safe for the aquarium inhabitants. These totally submersible heater are easily adjusted between 20-34°C and have a mains power indicator for ease of use.
Due to the large size of the aquarium, we recommend using two heaters.
This setup helps prevent a single heater from being overworked and also serves as a safety measure—if one heater fails, the other can maintain stable temperatures until a replacement is installed.
